The 31st edition of LUXE PACK MONACO has closed its doors after 3 very busy days that generated a larger business volume than ever before!

As usual, the outstanding array of exhibitors who attended the event in Monaco unveiled a host of innovations.

As always, well-qualified delegates presented their prospective partners with numerous packaging development projects, all in a positive working atmosphere and with record attendances at the conferences: these were the impressive highlights of this very successful event!

9280 specialists, 53% of them international, attended the show and the exhibitors were delighted with the level of awareness displayed by the visitors they talked to.

An exhibition that further strengthens LUXE PACK MONACO’s position as an unmissable event for packaging professionals from all sectors of the luxury industry.

LUXE PACK’s unique formula is further enhanced by a group of exhibitors who are experts in luxury

470 exhibitors including some of the world’s leading specialists were present at this 31st edition, 55 of whom were exhibiting for the first time. Among these new exhibitors, the presence of glassmakers from all over the world such as Wheaton (Brazil), O-I Europe (USA), Blue Glass (Sweden), Les Cristalleries de St Louis (France) as well as Steklarna Rogaska (Slovenia) is testimony to LUXE PACK MONACO’s unique position: it is the show that features the largest selection of high end glass makers in the world.

This reinforces the intrinsic quality of LUXE PACK and makes LUXE PACK MONACO the outstanding annual event in the luxury packaging sector.

A clientele more qualified than ever

All the exhibitors of LUXE PACK MONACO 2018 were united in acknowledging the quality of the attendees. Around 8 out of 10 visitors (78.5%) had a decision-making role: general management, marketing-communication, packaging development, purchasing, design, production or formulation.

All sectors were represented: perfumery and cosmetics accounted for more than 60%, followed by wines & spirits, fashion, delicatessen, pharmacy and health, jewellery and watches, tableware and decoration, leather goods, tobacco, writing instruments etc.

53% of visitors were international, from 86 countries!

These managers approached exhibitors about future launches in a positive atmosphere… As an illustration, the conference rooms available to the manufacturers for business meetings were in constant use throughout the 3 days!

Record audience for the 3 conference programmes

1860 people, an increase of 24% compared to 2017, attended the conference programmes on offer this year.

The topics covered were certainly varied, including some subjects of particular interest to professionals.

The largest audience of more than 500 people attended the session dedicated to sustainable development, during which a number of dedicated business and industry leaders, such as Laurent Boillot, CEO of Guerlain and its manufacturing partners, and the panel of sustainable development and CSR leaders from Chanel, Pernod Ricard, Guerlain, SBM and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, all spoke on the issue of traceability and transparency.

Also noteworthy were the large audiences for the decoding of Z generation by LUXE PACK trends experts, Pierre Katz’s presentation on brand identity, as well as the packaging solutions made possible by additive manufacturing, particularly through the presence of the Chanel-Erpro partnership and their mascara produced using 3D printing.

The LUXE PACK dedicated digital village’s programme combined conferences, round tables and exhibitor workshops. In addition to the exhibitor stands, it was an ideal opportunity to learn about the latest digital and related innovations for the packaging sector: applications, devices, QR codes, virtual reality, NFC, lighting, anti-counterfeiting, consumer relations and more.

A full box for LUXE PACK formulation!

This space dedicated to formulation and full service is now an integral part of the LUXE PACK visit. This was demonstrated by the approximately 3000 professionals from the beauty sector who visited the Genoa Hall, and the 350 delegates who attended the conferences and workshops! These figures are increasing significantly, confirming the position of LUXE PACK formulation in its segment, in close collaboration with LUXE PACK.

The highlight of the program was undoubtedly the presentation by the Japanese founder of the Makanai Cosmetics brand, Mayumi Tachikawa. The new products in the beauty sector presented by “Oh my cream!” also attracted a large audience; not to mention Bee Nature’s “slow formulation” on the theme of naturality. The variety of topics covered by the brands combined with new solutions proposed by the exhibitors seems to be a winning formula!

This edition successfully fulfilled its role as an unrivalled platform for innovations, trends and communication for packaging professionals, who enjoy meeting once a year in Monaco, at their own ephemeral kingdom of creative packaging!
